We are croquette lovers. We adore the crispy casing and the delicious filling. That is why we have researched and experimented for years in how to make the croquette taste even better.
Wilde Kroketten are not ordinary croquettes. We make the broth ourselves, which is the basis of a good croquette. Then we roll them by hand. Our mission is to make the best croquettes in the world with sustainable, local products!
We have of course the Dutch beef croquette, the freshly peeled shrimp croquettes, as well as the Asian duck croquette, the vegetarian lentils goats cheese croquette and the oyster croquette for the real adventurous.
We are Ad and Steven Poppelaars. Father and son. Making croquettes was taught to us by mother and grandmother Beb.
In our family the men went shrimp fishing with a fishing net in the sea late at night. Sometimes we caught sole and crab, but always huge amounts of Dutch shrimps. After returning home, Beb cooked the shrimp and made the most delicious croquettes the next day.
